UNDERSTANDING THE LANGUAGE OF GODJesus said, "My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow Me." (John 10:27).
The ability to hear Jesus' voice is the indispensable characteristic of the follower of Jesus. This central skill must be learned and continually developed if we are to successfully follow our Lord. Hearing God is not for the elect few but for "all His sheep". As mysterious as it may sound, God is speaking to all of us far more than we may realize, but like lovers from different countries, sometimes we don't recognize that He is speaking or understand what He is saying.

Jesus came playing a different drum. His was not the dogmatic beat of dead religion, nor the alluring beat of a new one. It was, rather, the pulse of a fierce and shattering way of life that is stark in simplicity, unswerving in purpose and nonnegotiable in standard. It was exhilarating to those who had been waiting to hear it - and deeply disturbing to those who were marching to the beat of another drummer!

SET APART NEW COURSEA learning experience for living together an authentic Christianity
SET APART is a learning experience for living together an authentic Christianity where young people who desire to respond to the radical call of Christ can explore doing life differently - perhaps MORE like Jesus' Sermon on the Mount and LESS like the world! In SET APART, there will be a forum for study, prayer and discussion of Christian practices that have been largely forgotten by Western Christians. It is an opportunity to practice and experience first-hand the power of fasting, prayer, solitude and silence in your search for greater intimacy with our Lord, Jesus Christ. It is moving from an event-centered Christianity to a lifestyle-centered Christianity. It is potentially the beginning of a whole new way of life, a whole new realm of love, a realm for the ordinary radicals, Kingdom-activists, undercover-hermits and revolutionary lovers of God :-)
